Aito Media, established in 2003, has had a tremendous journey of growth and internationalization over the course of its existence; today the production company is part of the French Lagardère Group. Aito Media produces more than 200 hours of programming every year for Finnish TV channels and for international distribution, and it is one of Finland’s biggest players in its sector. The productions are domestic, but are distributed internationally.

Aito Media and Lexia crossed paths more than a decade ago, and ever since they have been on a journey of growth together. Over the years Lexia has been a versatile and long-term participant in Aito Media’s growth. We have been involved in protecting intellectual property rights and drafting artist and production agreements, and we’ve acted as an advisor in transactions. During the different phases of internationalization, we’ve handled a variety of collaboration, channel and distribution agreements.

Joining the Lagardère Group unlocked new opportunities in the exporting of Finnish content, and naturally some content has also been imported to Finland. As part of the bigger Group, also corporate governance and compliance issues have become relevant.
