My areas of expertise are data protection, information security and issues related to the confidentiality of communication. I advise on a variety of matters, including questions related to the implementation and compliance of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), drafting and reviewing data protection documents and guidelines, preparing data protection impact assessments and handling data breaches.
Before joining Lexia, I worked at the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. This experience gave me valuable insight into the implementation of the GDPR and a broad understanding of the perspective of the supervisory authority.
I have also previously worked at the national Cyber Security Centre, supporting the CERT-FI team (Computer Emergency Response Team). I therefore have a unique understanding of cooperation with authorities, and my areas of expertise cover especially telecommunications companies and other providers of communication services.
